A compact, zero-emission powerhouse, thanks to battery propulsion
With the AS 420 E-ProClip, finishing tasks have never been so easy. The 42 cm cutting width and total weight of just 26 kg enable easy and convenient work under bushes, between flower beds, in cemeteries and on smaller, angled surfaces. Thanks to zero-emission battery propulsion, the mower is outstandingly suited for urban lawn care – particularly in the vicinity of hospitals, daycare facilities and quite particularly in residential areas. The 82Li Series 82V lithium ion Powerhead from Briggs & Stratton makes adequate power available and convinces the user with a top cutting pattern and perfect mulching result. Thanks to the intelligent motor control system the motor automatically detects the power requirements and regulates the motor RPM and motor power accordingly. In addition, using a battery-powered mulching lawn mower is more cost-effective, in terms of fuel, as compared to a petrol mower. Thanks to the third motor shaft bearing and slip clutch on the blade, the motor is ideally protected in the event of collisions. The galvanised steel mulching unit with reinforced edge offers robustness, operational safety and a long service life.
The special wedge-shaped wheels with double-bearing support contribute to the perfect cutting pattern; they go easy on the grass in front of the mower unit, very little grass is pressed down. This results in an outstanding cutting pattern in five different cutting heights from 40–80 mm. Cutting height can be effortlessly adjusted by hand or foot.
Mulching reduces work time by 30%
Mulching means that the lawn is not just cut, it is simultaneously chopped into minute grass particles. This is accomplished by a special mulching blade with multiple cutting edges. The cut grass is whirled up in the mulching unit of the device and finely chopped multiple times. The defibrated cuttings sink into the turf where they are virtually invisible and return important nutrients and moisture to the lawn. Mulching not only reduces the use of chemical fertilisers, it also eliminates time-intensive and cost-intensive disposal of the cuttings.
